A Long March-3B/Yuanzheng-1 rocket carrying two new-generation satellites forĀ its indigenous global navigation and positioning network - the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) - blasted off from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in the southwest China's Sichuan Province on 25 July 2015. China successfully launched the two satellites into different orbits. The Long March-3B was equipped with the Expedition-1, or Yuanzheng-1 independent aircraft installed on the carrier rocket with the ability of sending one or more spacecraft into different orbits in space.
