Big success for space education from CSS: The future is yours....

The 1st live class from China's space station was held in the afternoon of 9 December. It was given by Shenzhou 13 crew members Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu to students in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao. The class began at 16:40 BJT, with a total of 1,420 students attending the lecture from 5 classrooms across China. The primary classroom was located in the China Science and Technology Museum. Classrooms have also been set up in Nanning in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Wenchuan County in Sichuan Province, Hong Kong and Macao. The live stream made a global coverage possible. Wang Yaping showed students on Earth a paper flower unfolding on a film of water and expressed good wishes to the students, encouraged them to pursue their dream and embrace the future.

400th Long Marsh mission took off

A Long March-4B rocket carrying the Shijian 6-05 group of satellites took-off on 10 December at 08:11 BJT from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre. The satellites will be used for space exploration and new technology test.

Chinese space-tracking ship back from satellite monitoring missions
09 December 2021
Space-tracking ship Yuanwang 6 returned to its home port in the morning of 09 December after completing 3 satellite monitoring missions. This year, the ship has spent more than 240 days at sea, sailing over 50,000 nautical miles, and completed 9 monitoring tasks. During its latest voyage, which lasted 114 days, it carried out 3 mission monitoring tasks.
After docking at the port, Yuanwang-6 will undergo maintenance, preparing for missions next year.
