On 3 July at 11:10 BJT, China successfully sent a high-resolution multi-mode imaging satellite into the planned orbit from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre in North China's Shanxi province. The satellite was launched by a Long March 4B rocket. The satellite is a civilian optical remote sensing satellite with sub-meter resolution, which can switch multiple imaging modes. It will become part of the national civil space infrastructure project. On board was also the "Xibaipo" satellite, dedicated to educational purposes.
