On 31 March 2013, at the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) of Thailand, a Memorandum Of Understanding on Space Techonlogy between GISTDA and their Chinese counterparts, the state key remote sensing (LIESMARS) and Wuhan Information Technology Outstanding Service and Research Center (WITOSRC), was signed. The signing will continue the cooperation in trading and investment in space technology and related applications between Thailand and China. China is about to install a surveillance and disaster management sytem plus a land station.

BeiDou system enjoys fast growth of users
Thailand and China are committing to cooperation on the construction of Thailand's geospatial system for disaster forecasting. With an expected total investment of 2 billion yuan (319 million U.S. dollars), the project will give Thailand access to China's advanced technology, products and services in the field of geospatial information. The cooperation will also include manufacturing BDS hardware in a China-Thailand industrial park, marking the first time for the BDS technology to land in a foreign market, according to Wednesday's Shanghai Securities News.
