Mengtian space lab fueled for upcoming launch

Fueling operations for the Mengtian lab module have been started on 9 October at the launch site. The ground crew will also carry out a joint check of system functions with a CZ-5B Y4 carrier rocket, which is going to launch the Mengtian lab into space. The facilities and equipment at the launch site are in good condition and all the systems involved in the mission are undergoing orderly preparations.

CZ-7 rocket for launch of TZ-5 arrived at Wenchang space port

The CZ-7 Y6 carrier rocket for the launch of the Tianzhou 5 cargo space craft, has been transported to the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site on Hainan Island on 11 October. The rocket will undergo assembly and testing together with TZ-5, which arrived earlier, CMSA said on 11 October.

SZ-14 crew will livestream a science lecture from space

The Shenzhou 14 taikonauts Chen Dong, Liu Yang and Cai Xuzhe will livestream a science lecture from the Wentian lab module on 12 October. The crew will give an introduction of the lab module, conduct micro-gravity performances of sci-tech experiments, and give a presentation of in-orbit plant growth research. The 3 space teachers will also interact with students on Earth during the class, which is aimed at popularizing the knowledge of manned space flights and encouraging young people to develop an interest in science.

Lobster Eye Imager for Astronomy - LEIA

The National Astronomical Observatories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (NAOC) recently published the first batch of large-field X-ray maps of the sky captured by the lobster-eye telescope, or the Lobster Eye Imager for Astronomy (LEIA). The LEIA, launched into space in late July, is a large-field X-ray imaging telescope. It is expected that with the "lobster eye," people will be able to efficiently observe the mysterious transient phenomena in the universe.
