CNSA released images with 0.5 m resolution taken by the cameras on TW-1 orbiter, showing dust storms on the surface of the planet. Track marks left by the Zhurong rover can be seen in the pictures. The orbiter is operational since 609 days. Zhurong also relayed selfies from Mars. Compared with the images taken shortly after it landed on the planet, the new photos showed a layer of dust accumulated on its surface. Chinese scientists have specially designed the rover's solar panels to offset the power generation efficiency decline caused by dust coverage.
