Livestreamed by China Media Group, the SZ-13 crew gave a 41 min science lecture on 23 March at 16:00 BJT from aboard the Tiangong space station. Millions of students across China and a worldwide audience watched the taikonauts demonstrating unique physical phenomena in the orbiting spacecraft. The crew conducted 4 experiments to demonstrate physical phenomena only possible in microgravity, including liquid crystallisation and a water bridge. Hundreds of students in Beijing, Lhasa (Tibet autonomous region) and Urumqi (Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region) watched the event at "ground class venues".
