CMSA provided on 15 August technical details on the solar arrays of the Chinese Space Station modules. Wentian's solar panels have a solar wingspan of over 55 m. A single wing spreads across 110 m^₂, making the total expanded area two times larger than that of the panels on the Tianhe core module. The launch of a module with solar wings so wide that they may disturb the docking process through self-oscillation posed a challenge to the space engineers. The solution they came up with is a sequential unfolding method.
