12/13 November 2022
On 12 November, the CZ-7 Y6 rocket launched the Tianzhou 5 cargo craft from the Wenchang Space Launch Site. At around 10 min into flight, TZ-5 separated from the rocket and entered its designated orbit. Its solar panels soon unfolded and began working. The craft carried around 5 t of goods and materials and 1.4 t of propellant for the space station complex, including essential supplies for the upcoming 6-month Shenzhou 15 mission. After 2 hours, at 12:10 BJT, the cargo craft conducted a fast automated rendezvous and docking at the rear docking port with the space station combination. It was the first time that taikonauts witness the arrival of a cargo craft from inside the CSS.
