An international team led by Chinese scientists used the Micius quantum satellite to test why quantum mechanics and the general theory of relativity, two bedrocks in modern physics, don't work together. The study published on 19 September online in the journal Science partially ruled out a hypothesis that the entangled particles would decorrelate from one another as they passed through separate gravitational regions of Earth.

Five new remote-sensing satellites were sent into planned orbit from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China's Gobi Desert on 19 September. The five satellites were launched by a Long March-11 carrier rocket at 14:42 h (Beijing Time). The satellites belong to a commercial remote-sensing satellite constellation project "Zhuhai-1," which will comprise 34 micro-nano satellites, including video, hyperspectral, and high-resolution optical satellites, as well as radar and infrared satellites.

Two Russo-Chinese agreements on cooperation in lunar research were signed on 17 September 2019 in Saint Petersburg as part of the 24th Meeting of the Russian and Chinese Heads of Government. The documents were signed by Roscosmos Director General Dmitry Rogozin and the Head of China National Space Administration Zhang Kejian. One of the signed agreements is connected with creating and operating a joint Data Center for Lunar and Deep Space Research. The second document deals with the cooperation to coordinate the Russian Luna Resurs-1 spacecraft with the Chinese Chang'e 7 Moon polar research mission.

Pakistan plans to send its first astronaut to space by 2022 with the help of its close ally China, Minister for Science and Technology has said. The selection process for the astronaut would start in 2020, Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said on 15 September. China would collaborate with Pakistan in its space mission, Fawad was quoted as saying by the News International reported.

He summarised the status of Chang'e 4, including the known facts about the substance found by Yutu 2. Prof. Yuguang congratulated India on the accomplishments with Chandrayaan 2. At the end of the interview he briefly touched on the topic of Chinese private space efforts.
