An extension quantum communication landline connecting East China's Anhui Province and Central China's Hubei Province was put into service on 13 November, marking a significant milestone in China's quantum infrastructure construction that scientists say makes China the new leader in quantum communication. China's quantum communication ground network is connected to the world's first quantum satellite "Micius".

The 13th meeting of International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (ICG) closed on 9 November in Xi'an City, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, adopting a joint declaration to develop global satellite systems together. During the conference, more than 400 representatives from 16 countries and regions exchanged ideas on more than 20 topics on the development of global navigation satellite system (GNSS). A joint declaration was finally issued to develop GNSS together, involving the world's four major satellite navigation systems: China's Beidou, U.S.'s GPS, Russia's GLONASS and EU's Galileo, as well as two regional satellite navigation systems of Japan and India. Major suppliers will further strengthen technological innovation, transparency of services, as well as cooperation and exchanges, in an effort to better serve humanity.
Ran Chengqi, Director of China Satellite Navigation Office, the last launch of a Beidou satellite in 2018 is planned for 19 November, marking the basic completion of the Beidou 3 system.

The 2nd forum on BeiDou cooperation between China and Arab countries will be held in the first half of 2019 in Tunisia, sources at the 13th Meeting of the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (ICG) said. Ma Jiaqing, Deputy Director of the China Satellite Navigation Office, said the country's BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) will provide services to countries and regions involved in the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative by the end of 2018. By around 2020, BDS will have gone global.

Russia’s rocket engine producer Energomash and the Sixth Academy of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation have signed a protocol of cooperation in the development and manufacture of liquid rocket propellants, the Energomash press office reported on 8 November. The document was signed at the Airshow China 2018 aerospace exhibition, Energomash said.
