Representatives of China and the European Space Agency are discussing potential collaboration on a human outpost on the moon and other possible joint endeavors, according to a spokesman for the European agency and Chinese media reports.
The Secretary General for China's space agency, Tian Yulong, first disclosed the talks about the envisioned lunar base in Chinese state media. They were confirmed 26 April by Pal Hvistendahl, a spokesman for the European Space Agency, or ESA.

China eyes international ‘Moon Village’

The "moon village," a long-term manned scientific research base, is an inevitable step as lunar studies develop, as it can greatly enhance research and provide unique conditions to study the moon, Jiao Weixin, a professor at the School of Earth and Space Sciences in Peking University said.
He added that China should be confident in and stick to its own moon exploration agenda, which has been fruitful, instead of trying to catch up with other countries' achievements.

On 24 April, the Aerospace Objects Exhibition at the National Museum of China in Beijing was opened to mark the second China Aerospace Day, and runs through to 25 May.
The exhibition features 63 objects from National Museum of China's collection and 10 objects on loan from the China Manned Space Agency, as a testament to the country's ambitious aerospace project.
Among the exhibits is an installation which bears the palm prints of China's 11 astronauts who have gone into space.

State-owned China Telecom Global has its sights set on expanding its data centre business across the ‘One Belt, One Road’ region, after signing an agreement with UK data centre owner Global Switch and Chinese data centre operator Daily Tech.
Under the agreement, the three companies will co-operate on expanding into new markets and jointly provide data centre, network and systems integrations services, enabling China Telecom Global to offer data centre capacity for its Chinese clients on an international scale.
